That Book!

You know that book? The one everyone is talking about on the blogs? Romantic Prairie Style by Fifi O'Neill? Well, I went into this cute store today and lo and behold~ there it was! One lone copy sitting on a little stand. I picked it up and began to flip the pages and began to.......

drool. drool. drool!

I love everything about the style featured in this book, it speaks to my heart of how I dream my home to be.

Did I buy it? Nope. I'd entered some giveaway drawings with no such luck. So earlier this week I finally just broke down and ordered it online at Barnes and Noble.  According to them, it isn't available to ship until April 1st. It was SO hard not to buy the the copy (that was in my hands) in the store today!  I guess I'll have to wait until I can look at it over and over and read it from cover to cover. They say patience is a virtue. And delaying gratification is important, right? Right??

I also found this darling little french bag at the same store. It will be perfect for hauling my lunch and odds and ends to work, or to use when I'm out shopping at the flea market.

I would love to learn to make something like this, but honestly I'm not sure I could and for $14.95 it was well-worth not going through the trouble!

I hope you are all enjoying your week. I am itching for spring and sunshine. I am in serious need for some Vitamin D! Here is an Irish Blessing I found in my idea file, I have no idea what blog I found it on, but I really liked it~

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Pat's day Michelle!
Lucky you to be able to peruse 'the book' and strong girl for refraining to buy! Amazon has just informed me that mine is shipped, so I will be greeting the postal server eagerly these days.
Terrific bag you found!
Take care,
Susan

Michelle,
Wow! That was some self control! I ordered the book a couple of months ago and can't wait for it to get here! That bag is too cute and I'm sure it will come in handy! Yeah, the sun is finally shinning here and it will be in the 70's for the next few days! Hope it comes your way soon!

I love that bag! It looks more like you than the one I bought. I want that book too. I am saving a gift card from my big sis to a book store down there. Next time I visit I'm going to hit the bookstore. I have a few other ones I want but I can't remember their names!

I want that book too, I'll bet it's wonderful. And that bag? Gosh, that's cute. You're right, for the price it isn't worth trying to make it.

We'll post soon, and we will have some for sale at The Funky Junk Show and Farm Chicks...just in case you might need another tote ;)
