Silver Love

Hi my pretties. Tara here. I have a confession to make. I have an addiction. A small harmless addiction.
To silver.

Old and new. Mostly old. Tarnished and shiny. Mostly tarnished.

An old set of salt and pepper shakers from a Great Great Aunt.

A silver candlestick from the Goodwill. They used to be so easy to find and now it's like hitting the jackpot when you find one!

More silver loot. Notice the tray in the back. It is destined for "All That Jazz" when I decide to part with it. Sacrificed to the silver chalkboard Gods.

Another family piece. It's not real silver. Just painted to look like silver. I don't care. I love it anyway.

Even the birds love the silver. They built their nest on it. They have an affinity for milk-glass too. These are high class birds. They flew in from Beverly Hills.

Three more treasures. The scalloped piece in the back is a recent purchase that I think will end up in the bathroom eventually. The pitcher isn't actually silver, it's pewter. But it looks silver. And it tarnishes at a much slower rate than silver. Which makes me seem less lazy. Gotta love that.

A favorite piece from a thrift store. Engraved for someone with the initials EBT.
I love all the flowers on this piece.

A mint julip cup (I think) and more Goodwill candlesticks. Okay. So they're not THAT rare. Sometimes it just seems like it. It seems to be hit and miss. Mostly miss.

Oops. Look who decided to make an appearance. She says she needs more time in the limelight.
What a Diva.

 More silver to love.

Toss old book next to some silver and you have instant vintage glamor. Not that I'm an expert or anything.
I'm just sayin'.

The seashell I bought last weekend. We were supposed to be on the way to do some "work" at our booth when we saw a sign that said "COOL JUNK". Who can pass THAT up. We made a turn and DID actually find some cool junk! A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

All's fair in love and junking. Especially when there is silver to be had.

Yes, we certainly can't pass up "cool junk!" It would be a crime! ;)
Love your silver pieces, your camera picked up their scratchy tarnished & vintage charm quite nicely!
