Lizzy is still young but so far she's adjusting to winter on the farm.
She likes to spend time digging, digging, digging.......her face buried in the snow.
I just love her little muzzle hairs when they are sparkling in frosty ice crystals.
So, what exactly is she digging for? Well...... what is it that farmboys detest the most on their farms?
Yep, you guessed it. Mice. See how proud she is of her catch? She brought it to us while we were sledding.
I certainly thought all this extra farm work had her worthy of the pink "Snuggie for Dogs" I saw on sale at the drugstore. Farmboy? Not so much.
So, no Snuggie for now. Regardless, I'm sending lots of hugs and kisses Lizzy's way.
Well, maybe not the kisses.

Great post Michelle ... I hope you don't mind I "borrowed your photos" to do a study of Lizzie (not to publish) she would make a great subject for me to re-create ... now if I can just capture that expression in the top photo!!

Oh, that FarmBoy - typical guy! He should let Lizzie discover her "inner urban canine"...
She seriously brought you a mouse? Does she kill them or does she just play with them? I am glad to hear that Lizzy is adjusting to farm life! She looks very happy, especially when there is a mouse involved! She has gotten big too! I can't wait to see her again this summer!

She is a cutie...that is for sure! I had a dog that loved to stick his face in the snow too. Isn't funny when they do that? :)
I LOVE Lizzy!!! Michelle she is such a pretty girl. I miss having a farm dog. They were our children's best friends when they were growing up. So smart too.
