Green With Envy

I typically have two color themes throughout the year. Red in the fall and winter, and a sea/sky blue in the spring and summer. I use these colors in my accents and accessories, such as pillows, throws, flowers, etc. I always keep the base colors neutral (creamy white slip-covered couches, lots of rustic wood tones, chippy paint, and both silver and gold accents.)

However, recently I have been loving green. I am not typically a green person. But after hitting a great antique mall over the holiday break and then browsing through pictures online, I found my decor inspiration for this spring! Vintage farmhouse chic with green, here I come!!

I have a basket addiction~

I want that green wooden box the basket of apples is on top of!

Another pic of this awesome kitchen~

I'm diggin' cattle stuff these days...

.....campy ranch dishes with brands!

Fun vintage collection~

I love everything in this photo! The way they used green in the artichokes, chippy stool, and canister on the bottom of the island.

Part of my green obsession started with this old window I bought from my cousin in our own Jazz space last summer. I saw it and loved it but didn't buy it. I couldn't get it out of my mind (that is typically how I know I really want something) so I went back and scooped it up!

If you add color to your home, what colors are you gravitating towards these days?

I LOVE the apple canvas art in the first picture...I want that but with strawberries!! LOL

I have always loved green! I just bought a bunch of green apples to spruce up my neutral kitchen a little bit. I've also been drawn to pink for the past few months and have small pops of it in my family room. I'm sure it'll be another color soon!

Have a good day!!

Oh my...these are great inspiration photos. They just seem so cozy.

I love green...like a nice green apple color. I have little bits of it scattered around my house. It looks so good with the yellows that I love too :)

I'm much like you and crave red during the winter months. The past few year I've been adding pale blue and greens to my decor for the summer months (until July, when all my red, white and blue come out and play) It's a color combo that works well with my yellow walls.

Beautiful inspiration, thanks! I am enjoying the blues right now...mostly lighter shades.

Love that green shade. I have browns and a light sea blue in my home, I love whites and blacks to accent, but lately I am really loving red also.

I am such a fan of green - but I'm adding a little gray. I've told myself I have to limit my green a little bit at least!
